Wait Lists - Open March 10 during Phase 2 of registration for spring term, prioritized by credits

Beginning Fall 2007, the College of Business will use the new automated wait list that is part of the registration system. The separate wait list previously used for closed BA classes has been discontinued.

In Phase 2, wait listing will be in effect - but only for certain sections selected by the departments. Look at the online Schedule of Classes. You will see that some sections have wait listing numbers listed just between the enrollment numbers and the section title.

When you try registering for a closed class, you now can add your name to an automated wait list. (NOTE: Not every section has wait listing.) Type the CRN into the registration worksheet and click Submit. Then, click Submit again to add yourself to the wait list. At night, the registration system will add people from the wait list to courses that have space available. If the system adds you to a class, it will send you an e-mail at your ONID address. If you no longer want the class, it is your responsibility to drop it!

Wait listing continues until midnight Sunday of the second week of the term. Beginning just after midnight that Sunday, you must use the second week add procedure to add any classes. Please note that the COB will NEVER add students to a BA class after it meets 2 times, or the equivalent of the first week!

What is my class standing ?

Total credits earned + spring term credits = current class standing for fall classes

When can I meet with an advisor about Spring Term registration?

Advising appointments have been prioritized according to the registration schedule.

What if I can't get classes I need?

During Phase 2 of registration, get on the automated wait list.

Can I just go to the professor if a BA class is full?

NO, the COB uses the automated wait list in the registration system.

I'm not in business but I want to take a class, what do I do?

If you are not a current COB student, come to Bexell 214 on the first day of the term. If space is available in the class, we may give you access to the wait list or the course at that time.

Notes:

• COB checks prerequisites! (This may happen after registration is over).
• You cannot register for 2 sections of the same class. If you try it, you will get a registration error message.
• COB will NEVER add students to a class after it meets 2 times, or the equivalent of the first week!!
