Priority Placement Process FAQs
What is Priority Placement at Weatherford Residential College?
Priority Placement allows students to apply for, and, if accepted, reserve a space in the Weatherford Residential College before the regular room selection process. Priority Placement does not guarantee a specific room or room type at the Weatherford Residential College and still requires students to actually select a room during the room selection process.
NOTE: In addition to Priority Placement procedures, students must follow University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS) application procedures and all published deadlines.
How do I apply for Priority Placement?
Once a student is admitted to Oregon State University:
1. Login to the online housing application: https://myuhds.oregonstate.edu/apply/login.php
2. Select the New Students, Fall 2009 application.
3. Select Weatherford Hall as your first preference hall.
4. Complete the Weatherford Priority Placement Questions.
5. Submit online housing application to UHDS.
What do I do if my Priority Placement application has been denied?
Students who would like to reapply for Priority Placement must submit a new Priority Placement application. Students will not be able to retrieve their prior Priority Placement application from the housing application. To reapply:
1. Click 'Weatherford Priority Placement Application'
NOTE: This will open a pdf of the Weatherford Priority Placement Application.
2. Complete the questions and save the document.
3. Submit the saved document to The Austin Entrepreneurship Program Office at aep.info@bus.oregonstate.edu by February 25, 2009.
NOTE: Priority Placement space is limited.
How do I select a specific roommate?
1. Each student must complete steps one through five in the 'How do I apply for Priority Placement?' section.
2. Each student must choose to be roommates through the online housing application.
3. Each student must select the same room assignment preference for either a double or triple room.
NOTE: If either student fails to complete any of the five steps outlined in the 'How do I apply for Priority Placement?' section, their application for Priority Placement will be denied and the specific roommate request will not be honored through Priority Placement.
I have accepted Priority Placement at the Weatherford Residential College; does that mean I have a room assignment?
No. You must choose your own room assignment. To choose a room assignment, follow the steps below:
1. Beginning March 16, 2009: Login to your housing application and view all available spaces in Weatherford.
2. Select a room.
NOTE: If you have a roommate, there must be space available in that room for them as well.
3. Sign your electronic Room and Dining Contract for 2009-10.
4. The online room selection process ends on June 1, 2009. If you have not selected a room by that time, you will automatically be assigned a room based on space availability. Assignment to Weatherford is no longer guaranteed.
